This historic building was once home to Reykjavík’s old pharmacy, but today it offers guests a modern and luxurious place to kick back and relax. Despite its modern refresh, the hotel’s history is ever present in the form of high ceilings and large windows, and a classic decor that boasts herringbone parquet floors and brick imitation tiles in the bathroom. This classic and historic style is particularly palpable in the tower suite – a hotel room across three (!) floors with panoramic views over the city of Reykjavík. The restaurant Apotek Kitchen + Bar is a fantastic space with modern decor that playfully captures the building’s history as a pharmacy.
