It is within two kilometres of many of Reykjavik’s top attractions: Hallgrímskirkja (the largest and perhaps most impressive church in the country), the City Hall, Perlan (dome-shaped landmark with a rotating restaurant and an exhibition of the wonders of Iceland) and the National Museum. And what’s more, the city’s largest shopping street, Laugarvegur, is only a few hundred metres away. Round off the day at Sundhöllin, where you’ll find the oldest public baths in Reykjavik, and then it’s a five minutes’ walk back to the hotel.
