The biggest attraction in the area, though, is the bird cliff of Latrabjarg, which is one of the largest bird cliffs in Europe and the westernmost point in Iceland. This cliff hosts millions of different birds of various species, with the most characteristic type being the orange-billed puffin. Be sure to visit between mid-May and late August for the best possible bird watching experience.
