The Golden Circle & Silfra pick-up 08:30 AM/9 hrs (G15)

On this full day tour, you will experience some of Iceland’s best known natural phenomena along the Golden Circle. This is combined with a snorkelling tour at Silfra – the fissure between the Eurasian and North American continental plates within the Þingvellir

The day will begin with an early morning pick-up in Reykjavík, then you will head out with a guide along Iceland’s famous Golden Circle. You will stop at Geysir – an area known for its underground hot springs which create majestic geysers. The largest geyser, Strokkur, blasts its steaming hot water high up into the air every five to eight minutes. You will also make a stop at the rushing waterfall of Gullfoss – one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the whole of Iceland, with huge quantities of water being cast over its tiered edges.

Finally, you will head onwards to the Þingvellir National Park, which is recognised as a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its rich history and unique environment. The Icelandic parliament, the Allting, sat here all the way back in the 10th century, and a large continental fissure runs through the park where the Eurasian and North American plates meet. A stretch of the fissure, Silfra, is filled with water, and it is here you will snorkel your way through crystal clear waters, with a different continent on either side of you. The tour operator will provide dry suits which will keep you warm in the cold water, allowing you to comfortably enjoy the magical underwater landscapes.
