Buggy Safari (9 AM/2 hrs) (H07)

Buggy car trips are the very latest within terrain driving in Iceland. Bring a friend on this speedy adrenalin filled experience, where your inner child is let loose.

The tour starts with hotel pickup in Reykjavik and a short drive to the base camp, where the instructors welcome you and give safety instructions before the adventure begins. You’ll drive on muddy roads toward the mountains and see some truly breathtaking views.

The brand-new buggies are four-wheel drive with full automatic transmission and can handle almost any terrain you dare to drive. The vehicles are fully equipped with safety and design features such as roll cages, seat belts, and dual A-arm front suspension – all to make the buggy ride both safe and comfortable. You will drive in a group with a lead vehicle to help if you get stuck.

Remember, each buggy has space for two people, so bring a friend along – shared joy is double joy. Prices are per person, and if you prefer to ride solo, a supplement applies.

This tour is an extended version of Mountain Safari, adding an extra peak to the experience. Slightly more technical and definitely a more complete ATV experience, combining gravel roads, mountain trails, rocky paths, and steep climbs. Explore the scenic wilderness and enjoy breathtaking views of Reykjavik from no less than two mountain peaks. The adventure begins at the base camp, starting on an asphalt road before turning onto a gravel road along the beautiful Lake Hafravatn. Then follow a mountain trail up to the top of Hafrafell. At the summit, enjoy spectacular views of Reykjavik and the surrounding mountain range.

After the first hour on the buggy, you’ll have gained confidence, and we continue to Úlfarsfell Mountain, where the views over Reykjavik, the bay, and the Reykjanes Peninsula are even more impressive. On clear days, you may even spot Snæfellsjökull Glacier hundreds of kilometers away. This tour is perfect for those who want more than just a taste of driving an ATV.
