Day description

Flying to Iceland from the US

How your flight affects your trip *

If your package includes flights: Your trip starts the night before Day 1. You’ll fly out at night and arrive in Iceland the next morning (local time). When booking, the system will show one extra night because of the overnight flight.

If you're booking your own flights: Make sure your flight arrives in Iceland on Day 1 of your trip.

Day Day 1

Welcome to Iceland

A panoramic aerial view of Reykjavik, Iceland, showcasing the Hallgrímskirkja.

Arrive in Reykjavík early in the morning. Upon arrival, your included airport transfer will take you to your hotel in Reykjavík. While check-in is usually available around 2:00–3:00 PM, most hotels allow you to drop off your luggage earlier.

To make the most of your day, we recommend starting with a relaxing visit to Sky Lagoon. Enjoy a comfortable soak in the warm geothermal waters while taking in stunning ocean views—an ideal way to unwind after your flight. Later, explore Reykjavík at your own pace or enjoy lunch at one of the city’s many excellent restaurants. Need tips? Our Iceland specialists are happy to help.

This package is fully customizable and the above is simply meant as inspiration.

Day Day 2

Golden Circle Day Tour

Tourists walking toward Gullfoss waterfall in the Icelandic summer landscape

Today, we suggest exploring one of Iceland’s most iconic routes: the Golden Circle. This popular full-day tour takes you to three unforgettable sights—Þingvellir National Park, the powerful Gullfoss waterfall, and the erupting hot springs at Geysir. Along the way, you’ll experience some of Iceland’s dramatic landscapes and fascinating history.

For a more relaxing experience, consider adding a stop at Laugarvatn Fontana, a geothermal spa beautifully located by a lakeside—perfect for a warm soak with a view. The tour includes pickup from your hotel, and you'll be back in Reykjavík by the late afternoon or early evening, just in time to enjoy dinner at one of the city’s many great restaurants.

This package is fully customizable and the above is simply meant as inspiration.

Day Day 3

South Coast, Snaefellsnes or Adventure Activities

Summer view of Vík í Mýrdal, Iceland

Today you have a great chance to explore more of Iceland beyond the city. If you’re drawn to dramatic waterfalls, glaciers, and black sand beaches, we recommend the classic South Coast tour—featuring Seljalandsfoss, Skógafoss, Reynisfjara beach, and views of Eyjafjallajökull volcano. For those wanting even more adventure, a guided glacier hike on Sólheimajökull can be added.

Alternatively, if you're looking for a more off-the-beaten-path experience, consider a tour to the Snaefellsnes Peninsula. Often called “Iceland in Miniature,” this area offers lava fields, charming fishing villages, sea cliffs, volcanic craters, and the striking Snaefellsjökull glacier.

Both tours include hotel pickup and return to Reykjavík in the evening.

We can also arrange other types of experiences, including more action-driven activities such as horseback riding or ATV tours—just contact our helpful Iceland specialists.

This package is fully customizable and the above is simply meant as inspiration.

Day Day 4-9

Return Home (3 nights) or Extend Your Stay

People bathing in Iceland’s Blue Lagoon geothermal spa

If you have chosen a three-night trip, you’ll be travelling home today. A transfer will pick you up from your hotel in good time before your flight’s departure.

For those who wish to extend their stay, the coming days are yours to shape as you like. Choose from a wide range of optional excursions to build the trip that suits you best. Whale watching tours depart directly from Reykjavík’s harbor, and a visit to the world-famous Blue Lagoon is always a favorite. Set in a lava field, this unique geothermal spa is known for its soothing, mineral-rich waters and is ideal for unwinding at any point during your journey.

Prefer to explore at your own pace? Renting a car gives you the freedom to discover Iceland’s hidden gems—drive the coast, stop by lesser-known hot springs, or simply enjoy the open road surrounded by unforgettable scenery. We’re happy to assist with car rental options and route suggestions.

Whether you're after adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, we’re here to help you make the most of your time in Iceland. Just reach out to our Iceland specialists—we’re happy to assist.
