Snaefellsnes & Kirkjufell Small Group Tour (incl. pick-up 08:00) (G13)

Experience "Iceland in Miniature" on the enchanting Snæfellsnes Peninsula, where dramatic glacier-volcanoes meet iconic mountain peaks and picturesque fishing villages – all in one day.

Snæfellsnes Peninsula
You will be picked up in Reykjavík for a full-day tour of Western Iceland, where every stop offers a new natural wonder. During the tour, you will visit the iconic black church at Búðir, standing solitary in a vast lava field, and hike along the dramatic cliffs between Arnarstapi and Hellnar. You will also experience the black pebble beach of Djúpalónssandur, famous for its shipwrecks and the historical lifting stones used by fishermen to test their strength. Overlooking it all is the mighty Snæfellsjökull glacier-volcano, the setting that inspired Jules Verne’s "Journey to the Center of the Earth."

Kirkjufell
No visit to Snæfellsnes is complete without a stop at Kirkjufell. This "church-shaped" mountain is one of Iceland's most photographed landmarks and gained worldwide fame as "Arrowhead Mountain" in the Game of Thrones series. At the foot of the mountain, you’ll find the beautiful Kirkjufellsfoss waterfall, where you can capture the classic shot of both the falls and the pointed peak in the background.
