RIB Express (Pick-up: 10 AM/3 hrs) (T07)

On this RIB boat tour, you’ll experience beautiful nature, whales, puffins, and Reykjavík from the sea.

On the way out to the whale area, we stop at Akurey, home to puffins. Then we turn up the adrenaline and test the RIB boat’s speed as we head out to the whales, where we have plenty of time to see these magnificent creatures up close. On the way back to the harbor, we take a scenic route along Reykjavík’s coastline – a perfect photo opportunity!

It is no coincidence that both police and military use rib boats for fast and precise operations. A rib boat is very light compared to its size (this one is 12 meters long), moves fast and can navigate with great precision even in challenging conditions. On this rib boat there are so-called "shock seats" that are both safe and comfortable by absorbing the bumps – something that other rib boats usually do not have.

Requirements: Participants must be taller than 140 cm. The tour is not recommended for pregnant women, people with back problems or severe heart conditions.

Equipment:
On this tour it is important to dress according to Icelandic weather, which can be changeable and harsh. Good shoes to keep you warm and dry are also important, warm overalls are included. Bring your camera.
