Snorkeling in Thingvallavatn & Lava Caves is a fantastic adventure, a real journey to the border between dreams and reality.
Join us for a full-day tour exploring Iceland’s dramatic contrasts. We begin by discovering the hidden world within the lava fields beneath Thingvellir National Park. Walking through the cave and learning how past volcanic activity shaped this environment offers unique insights – a journey filled with geological wonders. The Gjábakkahellir cave is a perfect example of an Icelandic lava tube, situated in one of the most active volcanic areas in the world. After the cave exploration, we will enjoy lunch (not included) before gearing up to immerse ourselves in crystal-clear blue waters!
Snorkeling in Silfra is our second adventure. The Silfra fissure is one of Iceland’s best-kept secrets – an otherworldly site world-famous for its heavenly shades of blue. The pristine water in this deep chasm provides a magical feeling of weightlessness as you gently drift with the current between the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Snorkeling here is a relaxing yet exotic journey into an environment most will only ever see in their dreams.
