Northern Lights by Boat (3 hrs) (T03)

We sail out from the Old Harbour in Reykjavik and in only 15-20 minutes we will be in a prime location away from the city lights, perfect for viewing the auroras!

In 15–20 minutes, we reach the optimal location for northern lights hunting, far enough away from the city lights. The guide will explain the science behind the Aurora Borealis and share stories and myths about the phenomenon from different parts of the world. During the excursion, a northern lights video featuring interesting facts and folklore will be shown. If you get cold, you can always enjoy a drink at the bar, cozy up in front of the film, or simply gaze out at the city lights.

Wi-Fi, a café, bar, restroom, and souvenir shop are available on board. The crew takes photographs so you don't have to worry about camera settings. Just send an email to request your photos afterwards!

Included: Guided boat tour. Warm flotation suits for comfort and safety. A new free ticket if the northern lights are not seen.

Additional Information: This excursion is weather-dependent, and there are no guarantees of seeing the northern lights. The tour may be cancelled if weather conditions are poor. If the tour is cancelled, you will be offered a spot on the next available departure or a full refund if you prefer.

Equipment: For this excursion, it is important to dress for the Icelandic weather, which can be unpredictable and harsh: don't forget your hat and gloves! Also, wear sturdy shoes to keep your feet dry and warm. Warm overalls are included.
